All for you

My God, My God, why have you forsaken me? Why are You so far from helping Me, and from the words of My groaning?-psalm 22:1

The words of our Lord Jesus Christ spoken through David so long ago. I don't think David knew exactly what he was writing down when he did this. As we go to the crucifixion, we see these words are what was happening to Jesus. A prophesy being fulfilled when He said,"My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?" Do we actually understand what He was saying? All of our sin was laid upon Jesus and God's wrath went on Him instead of us. In Jesus saying that, I think it was His way of letting us know that He bore the sin for us. And each time we read that, it is a reminder that He has done this for us. His hands and feet were pierced, His bones were out of joint, His strength was gone, He was stared at, and He was mocked.......all for you and I! How great is our God that He would go through all of that for us! He did it for me and a He did it for you. He loves us!
