Do You Thirst?

As a deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, O God.
-psalm 42:1

Have you ever been thirsty for water,i mean really thirsty? Working outside during the summer in florida you can get really really thirsty. I know from my own personal experience from working outside that when you finally get the water you desire, you are refreshed. It works the same way with God. When you get up and go through your day you get tired, you get worrisome, you pretty much get thirsty. And just like the water, God refreshes too. In fact Jesus said,"if anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink."(john7:37). Just as the psalm says about the deer panting, we should be panting as well. Daily we should just be desiring to drink from God's word so that refreshing can come and we would overflow with that living water of Jesus Christ.
